Hi all,

My wife entered the US on a Cr1 on October 20, 2011 (just a few days ago!). I have two simple questions:

1. Because she entered on a Cr1, she does not have to file for an adjustment of status, right? She simply needs to lift her conditional status by filing the I-751?

2. When exactly does she file the I-751? I understand it must be during the 90 days immediately before the second anniversary of the date she was accorded conditional resident status... is THAT date (when she was accorded conditional status) the day she entered the US through port of entry (on October 20?) or her IV Issue Date?

3. Let's add a third question... after the filing of the I-751... what's next? :)

Thanks!

Andrew

if you came here on a cr-1 visa then no you don't need to have adjustment of status.the 1-751 to remove conditions the day you arrive at the poe that date is also on your green card, if you look at the expire day and your married the date on the green card expires you count back 90 days from that date, then you can file 1-751 and not before or your file will be returned back to you,now after the 1-751 approval you will receive a ten year permanent resident card, after you have been here three years you can apply for n-400 form citizenship.

2) The accorded expiration date is listed right on the card, which is two years from the accorded date of the grant of conditional residency.

3) Nothing required
