Hi everyone,

My husband had his interview on the 30th of September. He passed his interview, but they said he will get his passport within 3 months. I am just wondering why do they need another 3 months when the whole process already took so long. He had all his documents, and there was nothing that they needed. They took his interview and told him that he passed and will receive his passport within 3 months. Is the 3 months time limit normal? Because I know someone really close to my family and the person received her passport the next week. I am really upset as I thought he was going to be here by like end of this month or something....=(

I will really appreciate all the help.

Thanks.

not really...he was asked like normal questions...things like..what am i studying here...how many siblings do i have....my home address and stuff like that

he said the interview went pretty smooth...but thats what i don't understand...if everything went well then why 3 months...i guess i am not the only one..

He's probably in Administrative processing. Most men from Pakistan are having to go through it. There is no way of telling when it'll be over. My husband had his interview on July 12th and he's stil in AP. Best of luck to you and your husband :)

July 12? Thats more than 3 months...did you guys try to contact them??? I thought it was suppose to be "WITHIN" 3 months..=(*This is not good* =(

Please let me know when he is out of AP so I know how long they are taking...I will really appreciate it...

Thanks for the wishes..Good luck to you and your husband too...I hope you get to see him soon =)

suggest you call DoS Hotline, get a Human, inquire for casefile status,

and ask, specifically - 'Is his visa application in AP, or no?'

Then call back every week or so, ask for casefile status.

At some point, you'll hear about 'visa issued' and 'visa packet sent'.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

call twice a week - you might have some movement, DoS Hotline knows all.
