Maybe somebody smarter then me can clear up a mystery... I filed my petition july, 5th 2011... Got RFE on september 23rd 2011.. mailed back in and recieved september 28th 2011... Still waiting for the eluvise NOA#2.. I checked the USCIS.GOV website tonite ( as i do everynite hoping to see i have been approved.) and the site says they are currently working on k-1 petitions filed MARCH 15TH 2011...??? march?? it is almost october.. and they are only on march???? then if this is so, why did i recieve a RFE? WHEN I FILED IN JULY? Does somebody check all the paperwork when it first gets to vermont? then it sists in a box? 2 months passed after i filed.. then the RFE.. now a month has passed..so i guess i am trying to make sense of this posting that they are working on march 15th cases? Is this a popular smokescreen by our government? help???

Im also in same situation. I filed may 9th. Received RFE sep 8 and send it back. VSC received it on sep 16th. I been waiting since then for an approval. According to the RFE letter it could take 14 to 60 days. I will be calling them next month on the 60th day if I dont hear anything from them. They are really slow. hang in then. Hope to get approve soon.

@jamiew.. i think u are lucky to have your RFE after 2 months.. we got our RFE almost 6 months.. and still waiting for the NOA2.. i think it also depends on the nature of the RFE if they need a thorough review its going to take a while.. you should also try calling them every now and then just to update your case,..before you can receive your approval they already updated their system.. in our case we call them every second week so we know if they are working on it... Anyway, goodluck to us who are still waiting for our approvals...
