Also, our application hasn't been "touched" since August 9th... does that even mean anything at all?!

It does not mean anything that you should worry about. Our application hadn't been touched since the middle of August and we just got approved.

I think things are starting to move along now.

I just checked the ignor's list and CSC has started approving June filers! I'm hoping they keep on approving VJ members everyday!!!! I know I'm too obsessed w/ this... I'm just so excited! :dance:

There are a few of us on here who are June filers that have just been approved . I hope everyone on here who filed in June starts to get some good news. I think it's positive that things are moving along. We were just 3 weeks from waiting for 5 months for the NOA2. Keeping everything crossed for everyone else. Keep up the positivity.

12/4/11 Hired a P.R.O to do the police clearance in Qatar

12/29/ P.R.O Mailed the PCC to my fiance using DHL

1/3/12 Received PCC from QATAR, dog chewed it :(

1/4/12 Sent the taped PCC to USEM

1/6/12 USEM received 221g

2/14/12 - APPROVED happy valentines day!

Your approval actually lifted me up! I was feeling down because I thought no one has approved from VJ. then I checked ignor's list again.. and there you are! anyway congratulations!

How many months did it take before you made your request to USCIS? Has it been 5 months? I heard that's how most people do it. Well looks like it paid off since you have your NOA2 now! :)

I'm a June filer as well and still waiting.....I was excited tho because now VJ is at least giving a rough timeline for approvals. Something to hold onto and hope for, even if it is just a rough estimate. I'm hoping just a little to receive the best birthday present of a NOA2 in a few days. :)

indeed, that's all we can do, wait wait wait and pray a lot more...

So I wonder what we are supposed to do when we reach the 5th month - just call our congressman? Cause they can't ignore congressional requests? It seems to not work every time though - I've seen people here calling their congressmen, ombudsmen and god knows who else, and still waiting months after they passed the 5 month mark. And should we just use a congressman without even placing a service requests with the USCIS?

I hope to get ours approved in the next month so I won't have to deal with that craziness!

I just passed my 6 month of waiting and had seen others mention contacting their Congressman and that made me curious so I decided to give it a try and I did call my Congressman. I ended up exchanging e-mails with the "Special Assistant" who was less than friendly and even less helpful. In the end she basically told me that there is NOTHING they can do.
