Hello VJ friends and thank you for reading my post!

I got laid off from work last Monday in an attempt to save the company, their cash flow is really weak at the moment and my work is very well done by the AP lady and so I am now collecting unemployment and studying for the CPA exam full time. I was wondering how or if at all this will impact the process of the visa. I do plan on getting a job back but right now Im living with my parents so I will focus on getting the exams out the license and a career change... from Staff Accountant to CPA which is really what I always wanted. So my questions is this, I received the NOA1 last week of August and so it was estimated that I would hear back (hopefully, fingers crossed!) in december for NOA2. Is it then that I have to show proof of support? Im a bit concern because I dont want to have to get another job in a hurry but I dont want to delay the process anymore!

Thanks again for reading and replying!!

I got laid off last spring after our NOA1. Then I got notification of interview and we tried to postpone it to next year, but they wouldn't - they only have a short window of time to process the visa app. I would say you either have to get a co-sponsor or you have to get a job that will cover you, even if it isn't the job you want.
