OMG! Yes he did make a thread. But he never stated the age difference. Now says he's 60 and she is 21 years old. Well, I won't judge but he will need the parents permission. My personal opinion is not countable but where do you draw the line?

Yes, it was true he did not mentioned about age gap between them. But some VJ member have asked about it on his other thread and he did not replied it, if don't make mistake to recall it. People put effort to give advise and I am afraid he did not read it and missed some good point from whom that married Filipina women.innocent.gif

I don't mean to be Negative but this is to much for me to handle. Let her go and find another closer to your age. That would mean you care about her.

This sets a record for age difference I've ever seen. I'm an OLD FART at 50 and my Finacee' is 33.

So Tom Cruise is old FART too? rofl.gif . I guess age difference between them about 17 years.

This sets a record for age difference I've ever seen. I'm an OLD FART at 50 and my Finacee' is 33. I've seen more vaste age differences. You say the Parents agree and Documents in order meaning: You make the money to purchase a 21 year old.

How is this going to function in American Society? Americans are sick hunting for a child Overseas. This is WRONG. And YOU KNOW IT. As I said: Just where should a line be drawn about Americans going Overseas and take advantage of these young ladies.

I hope for your Approval of your Petition and get exactly what you asked for. I don't mean to be Negative but this is to much for me to handle. Let her go and find another closer to your age. That would mean you care about her.

 SUPER AGREE!!!!!

It gets worse, a lot worse =(

Oh Lord, it was such a tragic incident..I hope OP read about this and need to read all replies, thinking deeply, reply if he still needs information, and not started another thread with same question. I understand if the question came from another users that maybe don't have a chance to read another threads,

But if same OP repeated and add some information after on another thread with same question that I guess make another people would turn off. No offense to anyone.

This is wrong in so many levels.... but if you're happy, then do what you gotta do. Just keep in mind that it MAY be an issue at the interview.

Your main concern is making sure you don't a grandaughter for a wife. Disgusting....

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

My teen was telling me before I met my future hubby that the Cougar Rule is half my age plus 7, or else I'm a cougar. :innocent:

Does that work for guys?

Lol it's funny you mention that. My kids had said it's half my age + 2, so evidently for guys just a slightly different formula.

I just filed the K-1 VISA documents. My fiancée and I have an age difference. I am 60 and she is 21. She is from the Philippines. I have her parents consent and never been happier. All documents are in order. I am very concerned that age will be a factor in the interview. Please comment!

Ok, since you wrote again a thread like this made me think if this really is bugging you then it MUST be something. You yourself knows your case. the situation you are in. If you have questions withing you and an uncomfortable feeling..then I would suggest give it some more time to know each other better. And it helps to know who the person is if she stays with you if you don't give her money.

 How long have you known each other? If less than a year, give it another year. My fiance and I have known each other online for 4.5yrs before meeting in person. There a lot more things could happen and don't make it a habit to send her money as if you are responsible for her and her entire family.

There women that thinks way better than their age. Carefully analyze her background

-Does she have a screwed up teenage life?

-Does she have a history of using men to survive?

-Does she talk about life with sense?

-Is she into partying and you're not?

-How many men she's been with?

-Is she the eldest of one of the eldest of a family and may have tendency to support them all through you?

At 60, I assume you've seen a lot of women. Just look at it as if you're a different person. Nobody can tell you if this is wrong or not. It will all depend on the kind of woman you got and your compatibility.

It not common but it's not an issue. My fiance and I got 29yr difference and I've seen a lot that got May-December afar that made it. Just focused on your compatibility and you not being her family's ATM machine.

 My comment leans more on realness of the relationship on a social level rather than the visa-legal level. Sounds more like the parents are pimpin' their young daughter who may be quite naive herself, EVEN at 21. Personally, more than 10 years is not for me, but that's me. But even Stevie Wonder can "see" that this appears suspect. So she'll get here, give grandpa a heart atttack in the bedroom and get it all, not just "HALF!"

If anyone is offended, I don't take this seriously. No, I don't. In all seriousness, the key to these "successful" relationships that have tremondous differences in ages is COMPROMISE, not "compatability." It is IMPOSSIBLE to be from to two different cultures and generations and be compatable. If is working, there is a LOT of compromising taking place.

Maybe because the parents will call 911? Still nodody could beat Anna Nicole Smith and J.Howard Marshall's 63yrs disparity.

:ot2:

Again it is neither common nor an issue at the embassy. If it is an issue then that 21 yr Filipino woman that was killed by a 71y old husband should have been denied in the first place.

well, me and my fiance are from the other side of the world and we have a lot of things in common w/c makes compatibility be present in us...in disagreement to what you said :D I guess the only way to prove the veracity of my point to through example...Say for example in MUSIC..we both love country music..maybe not all bu I should say most. Both of us love nature, we don't have problem just spending sometime when together walking along the beach, at the park and etc..that is compatibility there. When it comes to decision making both of us listen and understand to each of our opinion and come to a one common decision..a little compromise may sometimes happens, but I should say most are mutual agreement :D There's a lot to set as an example on how for us..ME and my Fiance, compatibility exist more than just to compromise. I think its a tiring thing when all couples will do is to always end up compromising. it is always a nice feeling when couples share most common interest in life and not just to always compromise.
