Jim You and I think mostly Alike. I agree it is the Attitude of the Lady. I myself found a lady that has those traditional Values. I didnt want someone from the city.I got myself a provincial lady. not saying something about city ladys that was my choice. we have been talking for almost 2 years now. just to be sure of her commitment and love when we first met i wanted to make sure she was the one.I put things in place to be content with my decision and she never wavered from the truth. you have to be sure in your own mind if she is the one.the things she has told me, the things we discuss leave no doubt in my mind. this is a lifetime decision so be sure be content and you both dont waver, you both will be ok, NO Matter what your ages, Just be sure!

Yeah it seems we do. And you mentioned one of the most important things...TIME. It's all a two way street, the filipina can also find a bad man.

Could not have said it better myself Jim  I agree and my issue is this may not be everyone from Phils but the average visa applications on here are American and Phils. This is all I see every day and then we see where the sad stories start coming in and the relationship[p does not work out. I am sorry but I am old school and large age differences rarely work especially different cultures included.

I agree completely with both Jim and Barbara. Personally I could never marry a girl who is the same age as my daughter. As many people who might say that 20-25-30 years, and more, age differences are ok as long as you are on the same page/true love, very very few of these relationships work out for any length of time. Even if the Filipino culture does not care so much for age differences, once that young girl gets here and realizes she can get someone a lot younger than her husband, who will still be alive when her kids are still around, with the same or better finances..bye bye. (( and the same situation applies with women from Russia, Ukraine and other Baltic countries...only now these women are being a lot more picky)).

My fiance and I have a 14 years age gap... Certainly my parents didn't approve of him at the start due to other reasons too, like he's divorced with 2 kids and that the relationship is long distance. We had our ups and downs moments but we're still together, going strong as ever. We're more than 2 years now and we have a 15-month old daughter already. We're currently waiting for our NOA 2.

Surely, at some pOint, yes, age does play a role in the relationship. But it is how you react and handle this difference that matters. One example I could give would be the songs that he knows, (to which I never heard of, but he's too fond of telling me stories about it So, I let him be, and then later on he realizes that he's speaking in alien language, so he makes crazy remarks about our age difference and ends up laughing... See, it's all about the attitude! But luckily too, he's a Filipino who grew up here in the Philippines and migrated to the US at age 17. So he still has some of the "filipino ways and preferences" which made us understand each other more.

Age gap is not a problem with with CO, however just be true to yourself! I know there many with age gap difference and do ok, but I also know there are many more that don't work out. If you have a daughter that would marry a man that is older than you, exactly how would you feel about it? I know in Philippines it is a common thing especially with older Foreigner, but here in the US well where I'm at, I don't see it often. For me one of the criteria was no younger than 15 years than I am, Fiance and I are 12 years apart and to me it still seems much. Bottom line it's your call, but since you've asked I reckon you understand that there are pottential compatibility issue in the future. Lets not kid ourselves that we have a lot in common (mentally and emotionally) with someone that is 20+ years younger.

Very well said!!

CESAR is out of question..HE WAS HOT then while LARRAZABAL looked younger than his age that time and 10 years gap is OK. Elizalde and Lisa developed such a very loooooooong solid friendship before the hitch..JULES is a handsome politician ..THE REST ARE ALL SCAM!!!
