To the OP,

Please let us know if her visa is approved. You should be happy you are a man because if you were a 60 year old woman petitioning for a 21 year old male, your chances of being denied would grow exponentially. Sexism and agism are both real forces in the world. However, your fiancee is luckily from a country where your scenario seems to be quite common. There seems to be an abundance of older male petitioners petitioning younger pinay fiancees...

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

I don't want to be offensive but in all honesty the comment below to me is both, racist/jingoistic and corny/rosy-naive at the same time. A lot of different nationals have the ability to love and have family values and the like. So, you think that compared to "other Asian countries" people from the Philippines are better/more trustworthy? What kind of logic is behind this? What kind of warped mind?

I am German, and I consider myself caring, understanding, patient and all those positive things. Maybe that's just in my imagination. Who knows....

I am too old to believe that "love her/him with all your heart" will solve all problems, especially if people differ considerably in one way or another (age, etc.).

that is the reason why i said "i think" means on my opinion as i see it. your comment to mine is your opinion and i respect that.

i said in other asian countries, not in europe where you belong coz i have watched interviews to some migrating koreans in the philippines being interviewed in tv documentary. korean parents were interviewed and asked why they wanted to live in the philippines aside from they wanted their kids to learn english is that they said they wanted to learn the values filipinos have. as you can observe on their koreanovelas too, its easy for them to scold kids by spanking. i have friends who worked in singapore and uae as domestic helpers and they said that their "madams" are abusive to them than their "sir". i am talking based on my observations.some of course like you will not agree.

my american fiance is 18 years older than i am but it has never been an issue because we love each other.

he had american exgfs and he said he doesnt like me to be like them. he likes to live here in the philippines coz he observed how people are polite, loving and understanding here.

i think foreign guys who has a filipina gf or wife will agree. :)

i think this is no longer about the OP just playing around. it is more of sharing everybody's opinion and its nice to share and talk. relieving stress for waiting our NOA 2

another day close to be with our love ones :)

Whoever said that's a 60 yr old man marrying a 21yr old is being duped?

Come on.

Yeah, the 21 yr old could be looking for a greener pasture, but

the 60 yr old could be looking for a FREE caregiver for the rest of his life

and the

The so called relationship will benefit them both.

No one is being duped.
