Okay so I have just about got the hang of the fact that when they say don't fill in part two they mean don't write below the line but DO fill in the 'have you been's' box checklist. I've filled one out for myself and the two children travelling with me. My question is this....do they want you to send the embassy the entirety of DS230 but with the second part unfilled where it says 'do not fill in beneath this line' or do they want you to keep the whole of part II and to bring it to the interview?? I'm finding conflicting advice on this.

You fill the form out including the checklist but do not fill out the lasty bottom part of page 4....In bold it states do not write below the line and you will get help filling that out at the embassy.

Good luck on your journey.

A K1 does not do part 2 of the DS-230 for London. It is done for immigrant CR1/IR1 spouse visas. Go back to London and read:

Complete the Form DS-230-
Part 1
, Form DS-156 and DS-157 for each family member applying for a visa. In addition, the principal applicant is also required to complete form DS-156K.

Where are you getting part 2 is needed for a K1 and K2 non-immigrant visa? Post a London link that tells you differently than their Instructions for Immigrant Visa (K) Applicants Applying for a Visa in London.

Hi, on the London link it didn't make it very clear but instead gave the download and said 'send DS230', no mention of one and two and scanning a search on here of DS230 two I'm getting conflicting information :( Some say they require it to be sent, some don't. I'll do another cehck on the embassy web page.
