Since taking office Obama has actually accomplished a lot more than people think, let's review...

1. 140,000 NEW Federal jobs. The claimed "cuts" were simply reductions in planned increases, there are 140,000 more people collecting a paycheck from the Federal government since January of 2009

2. 2 Million people have lost their jobs

3. Health Insurance rates are UP 13%

4. 4.5 million small businesses closed

5. 2.5 million homes foreclosed upon

6. 42 million people living below the poverty line...the most ever

7. USA credit rating downgraded for the first time EVER

8. Gasoline prices increased 83%

9. Food prices up 26%

10. Increased federal deficit 4.2 trillion dollars.

Change we can believe in!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

You rate increase is probably a combination of two factors. 1. Getting older makes you more of a risk and that will increase your premiums anyway. 2. The insurance company needs to make sure its profit margins keep to its shareholder expectations.

Obama said they would go down.

We are all getting older. The elderly can least afford this. Obama said they would go down.

For me it will change when the Vermont single payer plan goes in affect, for you....

You realize he cannot get re-elected unless this changes, right? Which of the Republicans do you favor for your next President?

but didn't we have a hurricane and speculators to blame that for?

We did indeed. As we have had natural disasters and other social issues over the time since we became dependent on oil to make our daily bread.

The oil companies, lemmings that they are, now ask the consumer to play the commodities market instead of taking the risk themselves. So much for entrepreneurial spirit.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

My insurance rate for family coverage increases 3.8% next year. My premium portion actually decreases 35%. No complains here.

And thus we have an example of inequity in health care in this country.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

None needed, I am the source. I do not do that. If someone wants to prove I am wrong, I won't spoil their fun. It was from a reliable news source.

I assume absence of evidence to the contrary to be evidence of absence.

If you are the source then that means you went out and counted foreclosed homes yourself in person, the unemployed too? How did you have time to compile so many stats?

9. Food prices up 26%

Obama is responsible for global food prices? You really are something else!

Global food prices remain near a record high, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The index reached 231 points in August, up 26% from the same period last year.

You mean government employment has shed 572,000 jobs, or 3% of its workforce, since June '09, right? (page 12)

Funny - why is it consistently, a TREND, every month the government sector is the hardest hit. Obama is SHRINKING government! kicking.gif

Look at that STEEP DECLINE in government!

2. 2 Million people have lost their jobs

You are such a silly hyper partisan Obama basher. Here are the facts from the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics):

Since reaching a recent employment low in February 2010, the private sector has added 2.6 million jobs—an average of 136,000 per month. (PAGE 3)

So will you take your second point off....And tell the truth. Obama has CREATED 2.6 million jobs in about 1 year and 8 months

Get your facts straight! laughing.gifheadbonk.gifheadbonk.gifheadbonk.gifheadbonk.gif

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

Those figures include state and local government, check just federal

Fine. Here are the numbers.

  • 65,000 less federal workers than there were in January of 1990 - despite a roughly 60 million person population increase over the past 20 years! good.gif
  • 1,872,000 million federal workers in January 2001 when Bush took office
  • 2,060,000 million federal workers in January 2009 when Bush left office (net increase of 188,000)
  • 2,060,000 million federal workers in January 2009 when Obama took office - now 2,204,000 (net increase of 144,000)

Who cares? Still not as many federal workers as Bush created! And a lot less than in 1990 when there were 60 million less people in this country! kicking.gif

The biggest problem America faces is clear from this chart.

It's not al Quaida terrorism, or the housing market, or deficits and taxes, or entitlement programs.

It's those unsightly spikes on this chart at 1990, 2000, 2010. We really need to stop having the Census every decade.
