Since taking office Obama has actually accomplished a lot more than people think, let's review...

1. 140,000 NEW Federal jobs. The claimed "cuts" were simply reductions in planned increases, there are 140,000 more people collecting a paycheck from the Federal government since January of 2009

2. 2 Million people have lost their jobs

3. Health Insurance rates are UP 13%

4. 4.5 million small businesses closed

5. 2.5 million homes foreclosed upon

6. 42 million people living below the poverty line...the most ever

7. USA credit rating downgraded for the first time EVER

8. Gasoline prices increased 83%

9. Food prices up 26%

10. Increased federal deficit 4.2 trillion dollars.

None needed, I am the source. I do not do that. If someone wants to prove I am wrong, I won't spoil their fun. It was from a reliable news source.

I assume absence of evidence to the contrary to be evidence of absence.

With the exception of number 1, the real title should be the top 10 accomplishments of the american economic system. As most of these were already on track to happening regardless of who was president.

I'm sick and tired of people asking "What has Obama done?" So here's a list of things he's done since he's been in office. Remember: He was elected President. He wasn't elected Jesus!

The list is still growing. Let me know if I missed anything.

THIS LIST IS NOT DONE / UPDATED. IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

4. Signed order to close the prisoner “torture camp” at Guantanamo Bay

but didn't we have a hurricane and speculators to blame that for?

But if the guy who is President does not fix them he will not be re-elected. Unfair, I know. :crying:

The only thing he can do directly to create more jobs is hire more government workers. Bit of a catch 22 if people look to the president to create jobs, but look down at the government getting larger.

Too bad for him. So you are saying none of this was Bush's fault?

My linkhttp://oilprice.com/Finance/the-markets/Market-Bubbles-Fed-s-Cheap-Money-In-The-Hands-of-Wall-Street

"...This has always been one of the drawbacks to the U.S. monetary system--the Fed over compensates in markets through excessively lopsided market intervention, which inevitably just creates another unintended consequence down the line.

We are just now working through some of the vestiges of the last housing bubble created by excessively loose monetary policy, and lo and behold, we are creating yet another inflation bubble in food and energy with a new round of excessively loose monetary policy.

What is that definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results? And here we are—trapped in this seemingly never ending cycle of bubble creation....will we ever learn?"

Not even relatively close to true (your lower gas price claims or your wacky 80% rise which your under two dollar figure relies on) but since the truth kills a good shot at the Pres I guess that is how you figure it needs to be.

Gas was $4.08 the day Alla arrived on Sept 11, 2008. It was $2.10 per gallon when we drove to Chicago in November 2008. It was $1.90 per gallon the day Obama took office. It is $3.45 today.

Where am I wrong?

I did not do the figuring though.
