I-129F and Native Alphabet

I've tried searching for the answer to my question but have not been able to specifically locate it. I'm filling out the I-129F and it says to fill out my fiancee's name and address in his native alphabet if other than Roman letters. My fiancee lives in Mumbai, India and actually grew up learning English as his primary language. Does he still have to write in the Indian alphabet as that is technically the native alphabet of where he is from? Or is English popular enough in India as it is a primary language that we do not need to fill in anything there?

Thanks!

Is there an official document somewhere that has his name in Hindi or Marathi (the official language of Maharashtra State)? If so, then it will have to be written on the form, even if English is his primary language.

Ok...that makes sense...only if there will be documentation where it is written in the non-Roman alphabet. Thanks!

Not an expert on Indian languages but note that it says "alphabet" not language. There are two languages common in Ukraine, for example, but both use the same alphabet so writing the name in Ukrainian and Russian would be a bit facetious. Even though Ukrainian uses a couple letters of that same alphabet that Russian doesn't use, the consulate accepts either.

Use English. India has two official languages English and Hindi. If any of his documents are in any other language then English then he has to provide a notarized translation in English of that document. For ex - My birth certificate is in Punjabi so I had to submit a notarized transalation of my birth certificate along with the original.

Cheers.
