One sponsor is all that is allowed (if the Embassy in question permits a co-sponsor) Your mother can co-sponsor you without your dad as long as her income is above the 125% poverty guideline for herself and any other dependents she claims + your fiance.

If her income isn't sufficient then she'd need your dad's income.

You can have 4357 co-sponsors but only one will count and that one must make enough by themselves to support themselves, your fiancee and any other dependents they have.

Yes, you rmother can sponsor without your father or his permission. If they have joint tax returns ONLY her income counts and must be delineated from his by w-2s, 1099s or other means.

For the AOS you can have more than one co-sponsor, for the visa, NO.

No can do. Incomes are not combined. Your answer was spot on until this. The father could co-sponsor INSTEAD of the mother and then only the father's income would count, but either way, only one can sponsor and the incomes on a joint return must be delineated for each person.

Incidentally, disability counts as income and I find it hard to believe a fully disabled person would not qualify given the rather low income needed to qualify. $1600 per month will do it.

I went to the interview prepared with two co-sponsors. Like the others are saying they only use one, but I think it's a good idea to go to your interview prepared with more than one.

It will be worth your while just in case there is a problem with one that you weren't expecting; also, it makes you look more organised, which is a good thing too!

Best of luck

Since the Consulate in Casablanca has been requiring the I-864 rather than the I-134, I would think they could combine their incomes if needed with one parent filling out the I-864 and the other the I-864a. However, since she is asking if her mom can co-sponsor without the approval of her father, maybe the father is not willing to be a co-sponsor.

FYI... I believe you will need the I-864 instead of the I-134 for a K1 from what I have read here. To be safe, I sent both to my fiance.

Is the I-864 strictly when you have a co-sponsor?

you cannot combine your assets with her's to reach the poverty level. Your mother, as a joint sponsor has to make the guideline herself.

thanks.. so now i am stuck.. it looks like he will not be able to come here.. my family is against supporting us due to his religion among other things.. My heart is broken badly because of this...i just dont know what to do anymore...I miss him so much and we are so close to the finish line in this process... :(:(:(:(
