Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? The US Citizen (petitioner) located in the United States can call and get email notifications from USCIS regarding K1 statuses.

Good luck

That is the only way "track your petiton", by creating a user account on the USCIS.GOV site and entering your case number. Unfortunately, you may find that the website is not accurate and does not always update. There have been MANY people who have received their NOA-2 in the mail and the website still shows "initial review".

I would allow about 5 months for the petition to be processed. Until then, all you can do is wait.

To make your timeline...

1) The date you mailed your petition to USCIS

2) The date you received email or text message of notification of receipt of petition

3) The date you received the NOA-1 (I-797 in the mail) - this is the NOA-1 date used in the timelines

4) TOUCH - you get this date from the USCIS website. When you log onto your account you will see date of last activity. This is a "touch". If you see this date changed, it means USCIS has handled your petition for one reason or another (when it was received at Texas lockbox it was transferred to the USCIS center handling your case - so that is a touch).

5) RFE (hope you don't see this). Means you have to submit evidence of something that USCIS requests.

6) Post decision activity - Means your petition was either approved or denied. This is your NOA-2 date...

Let me know if you have any more questions.
