Can i work while my documents are processing?

Hi, I came to U.S. to study on an F1 visa, and have recently graduated. I recieved my work authorization through my school, and it is going to expire at the beginning of November. I got married to a U.S. citizen at the beginning of September, and we have filed the documents for the green card, work authorization, and travel permits about three weeks ago. I know that it usually takes about 2-3 months to receive the new work authorization associated with the adjustment of status. My Question is this: Am i allowed to continue to work for my current employer while my new work authorization is processing (keep in my mind that my old one expires beg. of November) or do i need to leave work when authorization expires, and wait until I receive the new one?

I would really apreciate any help on this, as I can't seem find an answer to this anywhere.

Legally you would have to stop working, because you wouldn't have work authorization, you can see if they will hold the position open for you!

No you cannot work between the work authorization.

You can't. You could request expedited processing on your EAD, however. Sometimes these are approved if you have an official offer letter in hand.
