Hello all! :dancing:

Well, the time has finally come and our interview is merely days away. Before heading into the lion's den, I wanted to double check that what we'll be bringing would be considered sufficient proof of our relationship/marriage:

1) Joint checking / savings account + checkbook

2) Photos of our wedding and from before / after (12 in total - My wife already sent in 50+ pictures with the original K-1 petition so I'm trusting they already have those on file)

3) Proof of a common residence - Utility bills / banking correspondence addressed to either of us (none bear both our names - it's either one or the other)

4) Cell phone contract - This bears both our cell phone numbers but is solely in my wife's name due to the obligatory credit check (I have neither a US credit history or SSN).

5) OURSELVES - You couldn't come across a more bona fide pair than the two of us! For an IO to think anything else after sitting down with the two of us for half an hour he'd have to be smoking crack! I would think that a competent IO would follow his/her instincts at interview instead of merely basing a decision upon a couples life on paper?

Hello,

I had my interview yesterday morning in the Portland, OR, office. I prepared sooooo many documents! I had copies of cards sent to me and my husband (for birthdays, Chirstmas, engagement and wedding), bank cards, check books, letters from the bank, car title, pictures from the wedding and after, correspondance between the two of us, US ID cards and SSN cards showing matching US addresses and the officer wanted to see none of it!!

From the sounds of it, you have everything you could need. But I got the impression yesterday that the officer had already made her mind up to approve my application before she had even met us. So as long as all the paperwork you've previoulsy sent in is all in order and correct, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine :D

Good luck with the interview!!

We had our Interview on Thursday in Vermont and it took us 10 minutes. They asked for proof that we were living together and kept only two things. He looked at our photos over the course of our relationship. They asked basic questions. Where did you meet? When did you meet? He taped the whole thing and said that we were approved. Stamped my husbands passport and told us the card will be in the mail in 2 to 3 week. Very easy

You've been married such a short time that they can't expect a huge amount of documentation. Contine to save some of the same types of things for your removal of conditions application in 2 years. You will mail it all in with the application. They will want evidence covering the whole 2 years. Save a smattering of things with dates starting from marriage up to when you file that shows you co-mingle your lives and money. Anything with both names on it is good.
