Hello friends,

We finally have an interview date...fiinally after all this time of waiting. The thing is that I would like to be prepared and not be sent home.

We are having a co sponsor. It will be my fianceè's uncle and his wife. I have read a lot about co sponsors and forms but will someone just give the an exact list of the forms and other supplemetar documents that we need.

Thank you

For a K visa petition (as your profile indicates) typically the form I-134 is used. You should confirm this with the consulate. There is no combining of incomes with the I-134. The co/joint sponsor must earn enough individually to satisfy the income requirements for their household plus the intending immigrant. So either the uncle or the aunt.

The income requirements can be found on the I-864P form at the USCIS website.

Follow the form instructions. These I-864 FAQ's may also be helpful. The consulates often apply the I-864 requirements to the K visa petitions. >> http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3183.html

For the K-1 interview, a co-sponsor will submit the same I-134 and related supporting documents as the primary sponsor (e.g., the affidavit of support, all supporting documents such as W-2's, 1099's etc. what ever evidence they need to support what they wrote on the I-134).

My fiance just had his interview earlier this month. My father was our co sponsor. With the I-134 from him we sent a letter from his employer which also stated his salary, 2 recent paystubs, last year's tax returns, and a page from a financial account that stated his investments. We had no troubles with this at the consulate.

Good luck!
