I would think that there is a taxi or car service in her community that would be able to get her to her appointment.

You did not answer the question. Where (what city) does she need to go?

This is a 280 mile round trip & takes about 6 hours to drive. That is just the travel time. She will need to travel there the day before by bus I would think. Then attend the appt & return that afternoon if there is a bus at that time. Buses for example leave Harrison at about 3 p m & arrive in Ft Smith at 11:30 for 80 bucks one way.

You as her friend could consider doing what you ask of strangers or help by figuring out the bus schedual for her. I dont see how asking people here while leaving out all the important details will provide any real assistance to your friend.

Her in laws arent going to send her anywhere. They have no ability to do so.

I think anyone who might be able to help or provide suggestions for public transit would need to know what the local office is. Once that is known, perhaps someone can help you locate public transit or an Amtrak or Greyhound that may run to where you are trying to get.

yes your right. its from harrison to ft smith. and yes i am taking the chance of asking strangers and hoping someone would be willing to help becoz im way too far from her. I live in virginia. if only i live anyway closer, i wouldnt mind going to help her. i also dont have any idea with public transportation over there thats why any help would be much appreciated. we all just arrived in the US and mostly still going thru AOS. which exactly the purpose of this post. to find people who can possibly give us any idea on how to help her.

No public transportation in that part of Arkansas. Bus or taxi service would be the likely options outside of family and friends.

She would likely need a bus to Fayetteville and from there to Fort Smith.

You still arent providing the info people need to help. You are also ignoring the info I just posted telling you about the buses. You say her appt is tomorrow but you leave out the time. Too late now anyway. She will have to reschedual or try walk in.
