I need help, again, pretty please!!!

My husband has a child for a previous relation. The girl is leaving half of the week with us and half with her mother. No court and custody involved, no child support. We take turns by claiming her in the taxes every year. My question is, what address to put on part 9? On checklist I found this:

If you have a dependent spouse or child(ren) who do not live with you, send:

Any court or government order to provide financial support; and

Evidence of your financial support (including evidence that you have complied with any court or government order), such as:

a. Cancelled checks;

b. Money and receipts;

c. A court or agency printout of child support payments;

d. Evidence of wage garnishments;

e. A letter from the parent or guardian who cares for your child(ren).

What to put???

if there's no official child support or custody involved, I would say - e, a letter form the other parent.

Thank you for your reply. And what to write in the letter? I am so, so lost...

I'm not sure. State how much time of the year the child lives with you, which years you claimed her as dependent on tax return (and include those tax forms), all the facts that you mentioned - that there was no custody court or official child support involved. I don't think this is a crucial question anyway. It would be if your husband held the girl against the court order or failed to pay child support. This is not the case.
