IS Obama one Crisis away from becoming JIMMY CARTER redux?

I was young but I do recall the Carter years, they were marked with a national depression, it seemed the whole country lost faith in him and in turn the country its self.

When Obama was elected many called him Carter 2, but that was mostly premature at best.

Today Obama still has support but could one crisis relish him into the same unredeemable category as The Carter Presidency?

I suspect it would have to be a big military or foreign policy blunder.

I might disagree, Obama has fairly good marks in Foreign affairs, even The House leader gave him a big thumbs up in his role in war,

should Obama make a huge fumble there, (such as if Libya turned ugly)

it could prove to be his body bag... as Iran was to Carter.

He wasn't as bad as Bush that's for sure.

Matter of fact, if we would have been so lucky to have Obama in 2000-2008 we'd probably be looking at a total federal debt around $3 trillion. We also wouldn't have invaded Iraq.

The projected decade long $5.6 trillion surplus that was handed on a silver platter to Bush would have came to be. Only Bush could have turned that into trillions in the hole.

It's too bad we got Bush at such a critical moment in our history.
