I am preparing to mail my AOS/IV packet off to the NVC. Is there any special instruction as far as to when mailing them by post? Seems like I read somewhere I am supposed to print our case number on the outside of the envelope? However, I can't find where I got that info from? Can anyone help?

As always, thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

For DS-230, include the Document Cover Sheet with bar code (you print this from the payment web site, where you paid the IV fee), a covering letter listing all the enclosed documents, DS230 filled in fully executed by foreign spouse (only Part I to be signed now - part II will be signed at interview), Original Birth Certificate of foreign spouse and a copy, Original Marraige Certificate and a copy, Copy of Bio-graphic pages of foreign spouse passport, 2 passport photos, Original Police Clearance Certificate (generally from passport office but depends on your country), any additional evidence of financila inter-mixing.

For I-864, include the Document Cover Sheet with bar code (you print this from the payment web site, where you paid the AOS fee), a covering letter listing all the enclosed documents, I-864 filled in fully signed and completed, 2010/2009/2008 IRS Tax Transcripts or All pages of Federal Tax Return including 1099s, Copy of employnment letter, Copies a few latest Pay stub (6 months pay stubs if no cumulative pay details are on the pay stub).

Evidence of current income is not a requirement but many a times it is asked for. Since your income is from self-employment you can show some evidence of your income. For self-employed, if I am right, the 2010 income is considered as your current income and I guess you can show that evidence through your bank statement or something.

I hope someone more familiar with self-employment requirements will respond.
