Hi guys!

I have a question I hope you can help me answer.

I am travelling to London in December and my passport is still in my maiden name. The thing is, my passport expires next July, and in that time I will be applying for citizenship, so I don't really want to renew my British passport and then have to change it again when I get my citizenship!

Will I still be able to travel with my passport if I carry a copy of my marriage certificate with me or will I have to change the details?

As always any help will be greatly appreciated! :thumbs:

Generally international travel will have to have more than 6 months valid left on the passport. As long as you don't plan on doing any international travel that close to expiration date then you should be fine with marriage cert to prove name change.

You can definitely travel with your current maiden name passport. Just book all your tickets in the name that matches your passport.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

Of course you can.

Book the ticket in the name on your passport, that's the only thing you need to keep in mind. Your passport doesn't have to be valid for 6 months, not for the U-kay, and not for the U-ess-ay.
