Hi, quick question to see if this is possible. My fiance' is from the Philippines but working in Hong Kong. We are planning on going thru the HK embassy. My question is when she gets her visa, would she be allowed to stop in PI to visit her family before she came to the States, or does she need to leave from the country she got the visa from and come straight over. I know I have plenty of time ....but time creates questions ;) Thanks

Someone can correct me but I believe it should be US Embassy in Hong Kong not HK Embassy. HK got nothing to do with the fiancee visa application to the US.

If she works there and tied up in a contract, she cant just fly back to the Philippines or in the US once approved. If she will be allowed then that's fine.

She will also need a Police Certificate in HKong later on, she should make sure, she keeps a good record there. You have 6mos to work with it anyway after after the approval.

It's up to you how is she gonna fly in the US. HK-PHils-US or HK-US is fine as long as everything is clear.
