Having a sponsor is longer applicable to DV applicant and so do not bother yourself about that at the moment...All you should concentrate on is questions that will arise from your educational background...you should be able to explain some of the courses you did in your waec the name of your secondary school ..the year you did your waec and so on.... Just expect questions from anywhere, most especially from courses you score the highest grades and pls do not submit anything fake...It is better you go there without a document than submitting fake of it.

No, it will not be in February. It needs to show your number or above for you to get the interview.

since you are single you do NOT need a sponsor, but if coming with family, you will need one. Though I accommodated a DV lottery family of three last year's august for one month( husband, wife and 2yr- old daughter), the guy claims they were NEVER Asked for a sponsor. I dont know how that happened . I hear most singles are not required to present a sponsor.

if you have ever applied for visitors visa at the US embassy remember your file is in their system so better DONT lie. make sure your birth cert certificate states the same place of birth that you claimed when filling the DV lottery form ( I hear someone was denied cos of a different place of birth).

ALL THE BEST

... and u focus on your career.

Come clean and shaved. Wear tight and blazer. No rolex copy,no tatoo,no hat or sport shoe.

Keep low profile,say hello,thank you,yes sir...

You are a futur citizen, show them you are better than them and once in usa,no drug,no beer.save money, open 401k...

Right now just concentrate on passing your medical and interview. 401K is a long way for you to concern yourselves with now.

Just be calm and collected. being overtly polite could be a turn off. too many sirs may sound like you have something to hide .

They are human beings like you and this is not like the visitors visa where they deny on their whims. know your life story well, be able to sell yourself honestly. be ready with answers about school. make sure certificates RAE NOT FORGED ask them to repeat any questions you do not understand instead of giving funny answers... see it as a conversation NOT INTERROGATION, that way you can maintain ur composure.

The DV winner gets to have a green card. That is really about it. This can lead to becoming a USC after 5 years. But you are on your own to make you life here and at the moment the US is short of jobs and advancement is hard. Many people who have waited years to get to the front of their line by relationship to a USC are deciding not to proceed due to the state of the US. Depending on your degree and your support system you may or may not do well here. My huband is from Nigeria and there are people that came here on DV that were doctors in Nigeria that work 2 low paying jobs just for a place to live and to put food on the table.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
