Hi all,

My name is Katie, from Toronto, Canada.

I'm in love with Tom, from Florida :)

We met in April, through some mutual friends (my parents have a house in Florida, so I've been visiting the area since I was pretty young and I've made a whole set of friends down there). We met on the last day of my vacation down there, and he was instantly smitten with me. My friends told me this, and I had them give him my phone number, and we texted the entire drive home. And skyped every day after that.

He came up to visit me with our friend back in July.

And he couldn't get enough of me, so he came up again, to live with me, and he's been here since August :)

I know it probably seems pretty quick to some, but I know he will be popping the question any time now, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!

That's our story to this point... Excited to share the rest of it with you all! :)

Hello Katie, welcome to VJ :)

IR1/CR1 Visa - DCF at London Embassy

April 16, 2013: Mailed out I-130
April 18, 2013: Date Petition filed
May 13, 2013: APPROVED!
May 22, 2013: Case Number received
June 3, 2013: Mailed out DS-230 & DS-2001
June 4, 2013: Medical Exam at Bentick Mansion
Unfortunately I have to re-do it in 6 + weeks as I was diagnosed with pneumonia
June 22, 2013 I traveled to the USA with the plan of returning to the UK, spoke to a Immigration lawyer and he told me to change my status and go the AOS route.
Since 2014 I am a permanent resident.
