Though, fortunately, not too old to remember the price paid circa 1700 for monoculturalism in the United States, eh?

Even if we were to accept at face value the "decline" you cite - correlation does not imply causation. Why monoculturalism ought be a prerequisite for any of the examples you describe (and why multiculturalism should necesarily contribute to their degradation) is an argument you and your fear-mongering cohorts continually neglect to provide.

Let me repost my take on some of Pats points (he actually goes into the economics which also spell mass decline)

-The decline of Christian faith has added to a mass decline cohesive sense of what right and wrong even means.

-THe GOP is the only party which has partially resisted the slide to socialism, when the demographics of TX are tipped by immigration, the GOP is finished. With an ever growing number of people depending on the gov and with the flood of immigrants which have a higher dependency of the Gov, the votes for more and more socialism will be unstoppable.

-Multiculturalism has thwarted the assimilation of millions, we can no longer agree, on language, culture, holidays, national heros, civics and faith, we will rapidly make a joke of "one nation indivisible".

-California has been the test lab. As California has grown in population in the last 2 decades, Whites have fled in unparalleled numbers, taking with them the tax dollars, leaving behind a huge welfare state for the state to drown in. We laugh at California but they are simply ahead of the rest of the nation by a few decades.

-With each passing decade, more people either live off the Gov't or work for the Government, At the same time we have embarked on trade policies which have destroyed huge sectors of manufacturing and created unreal trade deficits.

Our Government can no longer do even the basic things like protect our borders, win our wars, protect our job market or balance our budget .

On which points is he off?

And in so doing he crosses a line implying there is something wrong with my family, as well as myself, and my children are less American by simple virtue of skin tone. California is interesting. It has a huge underclass, yes.. this is true. But it is also the place to be if you want to work on the cutting edges of hi-tech and bio-tech. It's like two states in one... one awesome state with lots of smart people doing really important work... and one POS state with a real problem with gangs and poverty.

I was hoping you'd make a case that supports any of these nonsensical claims. But that hasn't happened. Let me tackle two items here - the low hanging fruit, if you will.

I don't subscribe to any faith and yet, I do know quite well what's right and wrong. Not that it would ever get through your skull but it doesn't take faith or religion to know right from wrong. Not sure why anyone would ever buy into or peddle such obvious hogwash.

Notice also that the government workforce has been shrinking relative to the size of the population and total workforce. In 1950, approximately 1% of the population worked for the feds. In 2000, a little over half a percent have been working for the feds. Relative to the total workforce, those numbers would be 2.3% in 1950 and 1.25% in 2000. Now, there's been a tiny spike on the federal level post 9/11 when the GOP created vast new bureaucracies to keep us all safe from them terrorists. Still, even with this vast new bureaucracy, only 0.7% of the population worked for the feds in 2010 and only 1.3% of the total workforce. Still much less than in 1950 and certainly less than in 1970 when these proportions peaked at 1.1% and 2.7%, respectively. But keep telling yourself that an ever larger share of the nation works for the government. Facts have rarely ever mattered to you and yours.

You seem to be mocking that. I wouldn't. Bureaucracies are easy to diss but governments can't function without them.

Gangs, yes. Poverty, not really. Nobody has to starve here. Food banks are everywhere. Participants get so much free food that they sell it on the street. Most needy people can qualify for no or low cost medical and dental. Families, and anyone with a disability can qualify for housing based on need. We have professional panhandlers that put on the costume, leave their comfortable digs, and spend a few hours on the streets rather look for a real job. We also have a lot of hippies and bums that just choose booze and drugs over any sort of responsibility.
