Let's see, I'm watching rioting in Europe over failing economies, and you and Pat are saying that America is falling apart. Are you really proud of what you have today?

American has always been a multicultural/multiracial nation. The mythology you hold that White Christians built it and others showed up later to take advantage of it is not only laughable, but it makes me sad for you for believing it.

PLease share the influences that formed this nation you are referring to?

This is part of the fall-out of the Multi cultural dogma, one has to try in the twisting of facts and outright fantasy purport that everyone is equally part of creating the Greatest country on earth.

Of course I am the bad guy for not going along with it.

Look, I am not trying to diminish the contributions various groups are making today, what I am scoffing at if this idea that this country was the work of some Multicultural effort.

Apparently the Generation of the Founders DID NOT want a multi-cultural experiment to take place in this country and you can see this in the very first immigration laws that was penned.

The original United States Naturalization Law of March 26, 1790 (1 Stat. 103) provided the first rules to be followed by the United States in the granting of national citizenship. This law limited naturalization to immigrants who were "free white persons" of "good moral character".

There was a lot to applaud about the Dixiecrats, but racism wasn't one of them. They had the right cause (limited government and states' rights) for the wrong reason (they wanted to keep segregation). When Communists are trying to overthrow the government like they were in the sixties and seventies, you find powerful allies anywhere you can, and you get Ronald Reagan.

They started before that but we should leave that for another thread.

Why don't you teach us what cultures and countries were so superior at the time?

Superior to what? White racism and sexism? Are you trying to tie slavery in this country to other countries? Clean up your own house first. Are you aware that the Emancipation Proclamation didn't free the slaves, and that blatant racism still existed openly in the form of sharecropping into the 1980's?

Muslims were KING of the slave trade, care to share with us when slavery was out lawed in Those countries or shall I?

And who were the buyers? Western traders supplying the North and South American and Carribean slave trade that benefited White landowners who committed genocidal murder or forced conversions to Christianity of the Natives to take their land and resources and exploit them. Your hands are so dirty, you can't get clean by pointed crooked fingers at others in the world.

You're not a bad guy for being ignorant, although that doesn't help your case. Yet, you're not doing yourself any favors by remaining ignorant and advertising it so often.

1790 was way too late to prefer Whites. There were all kinds of people here by then, and they kept on coming. BTW, the definition of "White" was very narrow. The Irish weren't classified as White back then, nor were Jews or people of Mediterranean stock, such as Greeks or Italians. Catholics were under suspicion, too.

Ya gonna make me do it huh?

Okay, here is the time line of Slavery.

HInt: White Countries to banned it mostly in the 1700-1800,

IF you are curous about when the Muslim countries Banned Slavery you will need to jump to the 1900's

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abolition_of_slavery_timeline

In fact when you look at the global time line you will see white are no worse and perhaps leaders in the movement to do away with the practice, forgive me for shedding white guilt a few decades back.

1928: Iran abolishes slavery[48]

1928: Domestic slavery practised by local African elites abolished in Sierra Leone[49] Though established as a place for freed slaves, a study found practices of domestic slavery still widespread in rural areas in the 1970s.

1935: Italian General Emilio De Bono proclaims slavery to be abolished in the Ethiopian Empire[50]

1936: Britain abolishes slavery in Northern Nigeria[51]

1942: Ethiopian Empire abolishes slavery

Ya this country is so messed up that millions of immigrants...legal and illegal are wanting to come here. Go figure eh. Why doesn't countries like Mexico and Morocco have this problem?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Have you been to Mexico, or Morocco?

I tried but got stopped both times. The first time I tried swimming the Rio Grande in hopes of landing a job in Mexico but got caught by their outstanding border security. The second time I made a raft and launched it from the Rock of Gibraltar in hopes of getting past the Moroccan navy and landing an outstanding job in Marrakesh. One of their nuclear destroyers found me out.

My next move will be trying to swim from Sicily to Algeria. I hear Algeria is right up there with Santa Monica Beach.

I fail to see the relevance to your whining about multiculturalism in the west, unless you're considering that there are countries in that list where White Christian countries made the laws allowing them to continue the practice of slavery by proxy during colonialism.

Also, because White society is so advanced (cough cough) western companies continue to encourage and exploit poverty and the practice of de facto slavery in countries like China. Otherwise, how does the history of those countries impact the OP?

I have. I own a home in Morocco and I've spent a lot of years there. There are so many westerners living there that Moroccans are being pushed out of the ancient medinas so foreigners can move in. Beach communities, like the one I grew up in, are also very popular.

BTW, Morocco was the first country to recognize the sovereignty of the USA.

I hear Mexico is being overrun by illegal millionaires from around the world, and retired Norteamericanos digging the warm beaches, cheap medical care, and almost nonexistent, easily avoided taxes, as well as South and Central Americans playing Scoot Yer Booty North.

And funnily enough the world's richest man right now is Mexican, of Arab ethnicity. ;-)
