I just opened my emails to find a reply from USCIS with regard to my service request placed 2 days ago. After a month since NOA1, I still haven't received my bio appointment so I called them on Monday. Their reply has left me stunned.... not sure whether to laugh or cry. blink.gif

Here is what they said:

The status of this service request is:U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate that your biometrics appointment is pending due to limited capacity at your local Application Support Center (ASC). Once an appointment becomes available and you are scheduled, you will be mailed an appointment notice informing you of the date, time and location of your appointment. USCIS apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates your patience. If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at

Has anybody heard of anything like this happening to anybody else?

I cannot believe that Orlando is the only place in the country that is supposedly "snowed under" because of people who have to leave their fingerprints and mugshots behind for the US government?

This is perfectly normal. I had to wait three months for an appointment in New Orleans. It was 98 days between the NOA and appointment date. 90 days is the internal deadline to schedule you an appointment, you will get your appointment before that date. It's nothing to worry about but unfortunately you just have to wait.

OK, that puts my mind at rest a bit. Thanks. So I suppose I should expect an appointment around Xmas then cool.gif.
