Kick back and enjoy the ride. USCIS does what they when they want. I completely understand what you are going through. It took 104 days for my wife to get her EAD and she hasn't been scheduled for an interview yet, though we filed in March. I was so frustrated for forever but the longer they take the less I worry. I'm learning to just be glad to have her here with me. :)

Sep 2009- Met at school

November 29 2009- Asked her to be exclusive

July 4 2010- Asked for her hand in marriage

Dec 23 2010- Got married!!!

Mar 10 2011- Filed AOS with USCIS

Mar 11 2011- USCIS received app

April 9 2011- Received NOA for all forms

April 29 2011- Biometrics appointment scheduled

April 19 2011- Successful walk in biometrics in Phoenix

May 15- Received a RFE birth certificate/financial docs

June 9- Sent RFE back

June 13- Received email stating RFE response review

Oh that's terrible, I feel bad for those who can't see their loved ones and haven't in a long time, we have never been apart for more than 2 months, he would either come visit me or me him..I'm trying to relax, just not used to sitting at home all day and not being able to go out anywhere. Thank you all for your encouragement :)

If you like to work out, find a training program and set a goal. For me, I'm training for a 10 km race in November, so my days are kind of focused on eating and exercising. The weeks pass quickly, I've dropped 20 pounds, and I feel really good about myself. By the time of the race, the hubby should be within a week or two of his interview. It's not too bad in the scheme of things. That's just what I'm doing with my free time as we wait, wait, wait...

December 9, 2014: Case inquiry initiated

December 11, 2014: Response: "The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending."

March 14, 2014: Received NOA that approval had been given on March 10; expect new GC within 60 days.

I'm registered in a 30 day program right now just to pass time, it's half an hour a day but it certainly does help. Good luck with the interview!

Hang in there, the whole process is maddening. Is there anyplace you can do volunteer work just to get you out of the house and occupied with something. Even a local school or the red cross. Check the city's website for volunteer opportunities. Not an ideal solution but IMO better than sitting around stressing and it gives you something recent on your resume for when you start looking for work.

I'm not sure if they consider that working since I'm not allowed to work yet without my EAD but I will take a look around, there is nothing close to where I live, small small quiet town, all I do is wait for the mailman to come by and used to be able to see him through the window, but we rearranged the apartment and window is blocked now by the tv and now I can't even see him LMAO.

Gotta say though it felt good to vent in here and see all the support from you guys :) Thanks so much for that.

You can do voulenteer work,it's not considered a paid job,so you can do that,also I dk where you live at,but you should be able to get a license with your ssn in hand.

I have a military ID since my husband is in the military so I have no idea how it will be for civils but I know you can do that in nevada and California

Volunteering is not considered working by USCIS. So, you can do that without a problem for the meantime till you get your EAD
