You can not change your consulate. It is based on the area you live in. So depending on what jurisdiction you get they will assign a consulate/embassy to you. Only under dire circumstances (riots,revolutions etc.) will they change.

In terms of Sunny's (NavyK) change of consulate they made a mistake in assigning him one as he should have had Chennai as that falls in the jurisdiction on where is wife lives.

There are no other ways to really speed up your case. The only option you have is to wait it out until they assign a interview date. When they assign a date and if you are prepared on your end with all the documents and interview prep you can try and request an earlier date. That's your only option at this point. I am sorry. :(

Once they assign you a date...you can contact the consulate. You send them a nice written letter. I had one made up for my wife, but we decided that we did not want to expedite it for some personal reasons.

If you send me a private message with your e-mail I will gladly forward it to you so you can send it right away when you get your interview date.

I will send it to you before weekends end. I have a mid-term exam today in a few hours and have a lot of errands to take care of this weekend.

Keep contact with me...I will try to help you out as much as I can. I feel your pain...

Hey, folks! I have a question for Canadian VJ-members who have their interviews scheduled in Montreal for December. On DR. HOWARD SEIDEN & ASSOCIATES PANEL PHYSICIANS web-site in Toronto it says that "All applicants aged 6 months and older must receive seasonal influenza vaccine during flu season".

Has anyone who completed a medical already got that vaccine before medical or during medical? Or it's still not required?

2011 to 2013 - Life happened

06-26-13 - Divorce finalized

10-07-13 - I-751 divorce filer paperwork journey begins

07-03-14 - ROC interview - approval pending delayed background checks

07-25-14 - APPROVED! 10 year GC is finally in production!

08-01-14 - 10 year GC in hand. The journey has finally ended. :)

2014 to 2020 - Living paperwork-free and focused on me!

11-09-20 - N-400 filed online - welcome back VJ fam!

6-22-21 - Interview in Nashville, approved! And then...

6-22-21 - Pledge of Allegiance taken. Holy shirtballs I'm a US Citizen.
