i have no clue what are they doing so what to do now i cannot think

i am totally lost just give us a date and will be fine so we can stop worring abt it i been lot of tension on my head and stress me out

Friend of mine got date of 29-Dec for Mumbai.. His case was completed on 16-Sep.

Does this mean that Dec for Mumbai is about to get full? What logic is followed while assigning dates?

I can see that 08-Sep CC got date of 30-Dec and 16-Sep CC got date of 29-Dec for Mumbai.. its really confusing how NVC schedule the interview dates..

03/15/2011: NOA1 Priority Date

06/20/2011: NOA2 - Approved

06/24/2011: NOA2 - Received in mail

NVC JOURNEY

07/20/2011: NVC received case from USCIS

07/22/2011: NVC case number assigned

07/25/2011: NVC AVR says DS-3032 generated

07/26/2011: Email DS-3032 and got Auto response

07/26/2011: AOS Bill available for pay

07/29/2011: AOS Bill paid - Status in progress

07/29/2011: NVC accepted DS-3032 email

08/01/2011: DS-230 IV Fee Bill Generated

08/03/2011: AOS bill shows PAID

08/03/2011: DS-230 IV Fee Paid Online - Status - In Progress

08/03/2011: DS-230 IV Fee Paid Online - Status - PAID

09/19/2011: Sent DS230 and AOS to NVC

09/21/2011: NVC received DS230 and AOS

09/26/2011: Case completed at NVC

09/28/2011: Received Checklist to submit passport PCC at the time of interview

05/12/2011: Interview date is assigned (04-Jan-2012, Mumbai)

I can see that 08-Sep CC got date of 30-Dec and 16-Sep CC got date of 29-Dec for Mumbai.. its really confusing how NVC schedule the interview dates..

It happens like that in the past too. In first round the slots are filled up based on the CC dates. Then in second round the lucky ones get the vacant slots released by the consulate and many a times those are early dates. Looks like the December dates are getting filled up at Mumbai due to a lot of holidays and year-end.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

I called today and found out that my wife has a 12/9 interview in Montreal! Keep calling people, as I kept getting the standard reply calling everyday and wasnt supposed to call until next week. Found out early.

how can i haven't got the dates ? My CC was 13th Sept 11...On what basis they are giving the dates

Shital they are loco I would say I don't see why is it taking so long to give is a simple date and please Nvc do not keep us in dark pls tell the truth what is going on we do not wanna hear a sane answer again and again

Dec 2, 2011: Interview at Consulate (Result: AP - No reason given on 221g)
Feb 7, 2012: Passport requested by Consulate
(...Husband needed passport for personal reasons during this time...)
Apr 9, 2012: Passport mailed to Consulate
Apr 25, 2012: Visa issued
May 1, 2012: Visa in hand
May 31, 2012: POE at Montreal's Trudeau Airport
Early July: Physical Green Card received in mail. Yes, it's green!

March 13, 2014: ROC filed (went to VSC)

March 17, 2014: NOA

April 22, 2014: Biometrics appointment

December 9, 2014: Case inquiry initiated

December 11, 2014: Response: "The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending."

March 14, 2014: Received NOA that approval had been given on March 10; expect new GC within 60 days.

Congratulations and wish you all the best. Mumbai is really very slow - my CC was also 8/31 and I had my interview at Chennai on 10/25.
