The bottom line is that NOA-2's come when they come and we can't hurry the process.

If you don't like the wait in line at Sears go to JC Penny or Macy's.

If you don't like the wait in line at CSC go to, oh - wait a minute... Where are we gonna go?

It's frustrating, but it is what it is :(

i just tell myself alot of people have waited/been waiting longer. but its not really the long wait that frustrates me, its usually the people who butt in line while i have been waiting countless hours to watch the premiere of the movie i have been looking forward to see. you know what im saying. but oh well life isnt fair :P

But at the end of the movie you realize that the wait was worth it all and you'd stand in line all over again if you had to in order to see that movie.... (metaphore intended)

I don't begrudge the people that get in before me, especially if it is the person working in the box office who causes the folks in line before me to get in first... (another metaphore).

Nicely put. And while it's supposed to be first come, first served there are many variables involved so I learned not to drive myself crazy and just wait for the letter in the mail.

I was content with a reasonable wait for the processing of my K-1 fiance visa BUT after reading all of these complaints and dissatisfied petitioners with the CSC now I am becoming impatient. Is my COD flaring up again? Hope not. And only after 2 weeks and 1 day since my NOA1. Maybe I need to log a complaint somewhere - but where? urrrrrr

This is a very good attitude. While I was waiting for my NOA2, it saved my sanity to not be checking the USCIS website every day or worrying about when the email/text/letter would come.

I can't remember who the poster was, but 2 or 3 days ago, someone posted that they received NOA2 only a little over 3 weeks after NOA1.

Does that actually ever happen?

Of course, I know, it's not the norm.

Well... maybe in the years before 9-11.

Soon or later it will come

My expectation was about 5 months so I didn't count days, but to my surprise, it was approved in 4+ weeks (CSC).

Really? Umm I wonder if it has anything to do with the accuracy of the documents filled out, as well as the amount/quality of PROOF EVIDENCE one provides in the application.

It could be if it's totally 'obvious' the relationship is bona-fide, they slip it to the top of the next pile and pump it out quickly.

Your time-frame seems pretty rare.

I have my doubts about that, Soty.

The first time, I sent in almost 2 inches of paperwork, well-organized documentation.

The interview was about 2 minutes, and Visa Granted!

But, we still waited for 8 months, NOA1 to Interview.

However, that was back in 2007/2008.

Was also California S.C.

I think most here on VJ would agree, that a 3-4 week turnaround is pretty much unheard of.

I'm not saying it's false.

Just saying, it is quite unusual.

more likely to do with luck and someone making a mistake at USCIS and putting the file in the wrong place. nothing you do with your petition can help get it approved so quickly
