I understand how you feel. I was there too until oct 11 when we finally received our noa2 and we waited 153 days from noa1 to noa2. Hang in there, it shouldn't be much longer.

153 days.. that's a pretty long wait... I'd have to wait longer because I'll get RFE for name change! :( will have to wait longer! grrrrrrrrrr :bonk:

If the office is processing a particular type of application in less time than our processing goal, you will see the processing times expressed in months (for example, if the office is processing naturalization applications in less than our 5 month goal, the processing time will state “Five Months”). However, if that office is taking longer than our processing goal to handle the form type in question, you will see the filing date (e.g., “April 10, 2003”) of the last case we processed on the date the website chart was last updated. The charts are updated on or about the 15th day of each month.

On their chart, I-129F processing time is 5 months. It gives me hope that it'll be less than 5 months...

When counting the days of waiting, do you mean, the number of working days right?

Ha,ha,... Jui_uy,... did you throw this out there, just to hit our nerve a little bit?

I'm surprised no one else has 'bit' on this yet...

I've never heard it put like that, and so,... no, I think everyone is just counting calender days, not work days.

Sorry if I offended anyone when I asked about the counting days... It was an honest question. When it comes to govt.

Services like this, they usually refer it as working days, same as that of banking days... But if it pertains to calendar days, much better then...

Thank you for the clarification...

I think it's a good question! I'm also a little bit curious as if it is 150 days from NOA1 or if it's actually 5 months... You know some months are shorter and some are longer... I know, it's only a matter of days, but in this inpatient waiting game those days are very important!

Btw did you guys see that VSC changed their processing time from 5 months to March 15 2011... That must be such a terrible feeling thinking that you could call in after 5 months and get a service request due to outside of normal processing time and now you can't anymore... or at least not until after a looooong time. Lets hope that CSC will speed up and that they won't change their processing time!!! Best of luck everyone!

I also thought it was a well-pointed Q.

One that I'd never heard before, I am guessing because just about everyone ASSUMES that it is straight calender days being talked about.

If not, then... yes! a big bummer (longer to wait)

There is alot of guess work on the approval of the NOA1 to the Approval of the NOA2 and anticipated time periods.

This is my experience talking to USCIS CSC and applies to other Service Centers. You don't need to read this but this is how it works:

Yes, some people are Approved way before the 5 Month Wait. But, Remember the USCIS GOAL (Not Law) is to Approve before that time frame. This is not always the Case as each Case is different.

5 months is only a goal for USCIS and not stone.

Their guildlines are 5 months 31 days before you can put in a Service Request (Not an Expedite) for USCIS to Review your Petition. If you have a RFE then the RULE does not Apply.

A CSR can have a Service Request Issued and pull your Petition for Review without the Authorization of a Tier 2 Representitive.

So, the reality is : If you are waiting; Give it 6 months and hopefully NO RFE's.

However, it is suggested by me personally to call at 5 Months and 1 day since your inquiry is recorded in you Log. If a RFE is an Issue you will hear soon.

We recieved the NOA2 at 5 months 2 weeks after the NOA1.

Hope this HELPS
