I-129F Processing in Vermont

So, according to the USCIS website, Vermont is currently processing applications as of March 15, 2011. What do people think about this? I don't think this matches very well with the visa journey "estimates" for when NOA2 will be received. I've been waiting for over 5 months now, and seeing the March 15 date, am much less optimistic.

I was part of that March group, my NOA1 was dated 3/10/11. I just got a response(NOA2) 10/14/11, and I had to get my congressman involved to get that out of them. I dont understand it myself. I am hoping the rest of the way is not so much of a fight. I have just about had enough of this pain and heart break. I am at the point of thinking about leaving the country and move to Ethiopia so I can be with my family.

Gotcha, thank you for the info! I've gotten my senator & congressman involved, not sure how much that will help now that they no longer quote "5 months" for Vermont, and claim anything that's after March 15 is within normal processing time.

I've seen alot of folks who applied in June/July here, who have received NOA2 recently, but none yet in August.

It's moving fast, in Vermont, it appears.

We'll see.

Like someone says above: It's all unique. Every case is different, just like "no two waves are alike".

Even my case, although seems very clean, .... still from the first time I did this about four years ago, this one is much, much different, in and of itself, but also on top of the fact that it's my 2nd time going through.

07/27/2011...........NOA1 received.

12/05/2011...........RFE received.

12/13/2011...........RFE response sent.

12/16/2011...........RFE RESPONSE received by Vermont S.C.

12/22/2011...........Teased by a text-message from uscis, saying they have received my response to the RFE.

12/30/2011...........LA VISA APROVADOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

01/12/2012...........Case Sent To Bogota Colombia, from the National Visa Center.

02/09/2012...........Schedule Interview.

03/23/2012...........Interview (to take place then)!

04/07/2012...........Arrived in USA.

07/01/2012...........MARRIED!

What next?

.......How the days DO slip away!

Seeing the timeframe changed in VSC at the USCIS website makes me all the more upset    .My fiance called before and he was always told to call back when the 5 month mark passes. So what now???It states that the current paper being processed in VSC are the ones dated March 15, 2011 and beyond that are still under normal processing times? That's just messed up.We'll definitely gonna be calling on Monday which is going to be our 151st day from NOA1 and if they'll just gonna give us same lame reason,we might get the congressman/senator involved and hope it will work. :crying: :crying: :crying:

What did your congressman tell USCIS about that? Have any clue why your I-129F late to processed?

I think some countries are prone to more scrutiny simply because there is a large online dating (match making) industry where US government fears fraudulent marriages may take place, so they are extra careful. I am not saying it right or wrong, but, maybe the reason we see delays in petition approvals..

Just remember there are hundreds upon hundreds on this forum who are legit and going about the right way to bring loved ones, but thousands of others who try to come illegally, which pose a greater problem to this country in the long run. So for that reason alone, USCIS has to be diligent and through. Unfortunately in this process , some have to wait and be patient. I guess that's a small price pay to come to this country.

All of these estimates are failry meaningless. The USCIS goes by the oldest case they are working on. VJ goes by the input of members actual experience.

Vermont has recently added focus to processing I-129f petitions and you will probably see something soon.

Looking at these estimates is a waste of time.

I know that it's nearly impossible, but how can applicants plan their lives with such uncertainties?

Don't plan anything before you get Visa in hand. There is no promise that it will take 5 month. They provide estimate 6-8 month, and as other posters said, not case is the same as well as no wave is the same.

Just hang in there you will get it.

Please update your timeline.

As you are trying to make a sence of it without having your timeline in place, so may be you even didn't started the process.

Boy I hear y'all. We filed in April. It took 5 months to say they need a copy of a document not enough information.. it was stupid. Can you imagine if only USC that have gone through the process worked there.. They understand the need for speedy processing...
