Biometrics required for i-131?

Greetings,

We have a biometrics appointment on 10/27. It's a week away and we want to try to do a walk-in to get it done sooner. We want to do it only if doing so will speed up the i-131 application. Does it? The initial AOS package includes i-485, i-131 and the EAS application.

No one can say for sure if it will speed things up. But it makes sense that it may help. Certainly cannot hurt.

Biometrics is taken for the 485 background check not the EAD or AP cards.

Getting your fingerprints done earlier by walking in, does not guarantee faster processing of your application. Who knows, it may quicken the process for you!! Good Luck!!

I just got my AP and my EAD approved, but I've never received an appointment notice for bio metrics. Isn't that strange?
