I was wondering the same thing about our case, especially when the timelines at the Vermont service center appear to be much shorter right now. Guess location of the petitioner doesn't matter since my Husband lives in Pennsylvania.

Yup! Not sure what it is?! I live in Texas and I wanted it to go to Vermont since looking up at the processing time seems much shorter over there! But now I'm am happy with the result as they really took care of my petition pretty quickly! They also have some very helpful agents there - easy to talk to the second tier agents and all! Now, just relax and take care of the I-864s and so forth! Good luck!

Was you case first sent to Vermont or are you saying that it should have been sent to Vermont?

Cases get sent to any processing center from Chicago and most of the CR1 applications get sent to California Service Center.

I was saying it was sent to california but i was hoping it would have been sent to vermont since they seem to be processing quicker at the moment. additionally didnt know that most are sent to california, thanks for the info

That is waht I thought. Which service center is better now has no meaning, as the position around 90 days time (from the time they received your petition) or your actual approval time is what is relevant. Most of CR1s get sent to CSC and the K-1s get sent to VSC, but there are exceptions.

So don't worry and start reading the information in this link for future - http://www.visajourn...nal_Visa_Center

Dont worry to much they have a tendency to take turns for all the reading i have done .

Regardless you are on the longest part of the process .

Start the timer 5 month mark

And make sure yo look for the info on Vj's on how to get in contact with CSC it help me alot during my process.

There are some great info on how to get a human in the line and even a 2nd level supervisor
