One step closer to the interview and the visa!!!!! Kris had the medical today in London and he said it went very well! Doc said the chest xray was clear she just needed to have the radiologist confirm that and he needed two vaccines. He said it was very simple and the doc was very nice! Hopefully he'll get this interview date soon and then he'll be here for good!

erm, The doctor told me they cannot tell you the chest xray is clear until they had some specialist come from the embassy or something, but the radiologist told me it was clear. but yes i didn't mind the medical either they were pretty good.

if he still needs the vaccinations i would get them before he flys because they are usually free in the uk

I have mine on 24th and I don't mind admitting I am terrified, almost to the point of chickening out. It's the chest xray - I am an ex-smoker and that xray is my nemesis!

The vaccination thingy is easy to work out using their chart, when you get your head around it. Took me ages.

Well, I believe you should be okay with being an ex-smoker. I had been smoking for 14 years and my chest x-rays have always come up clean :) They're just looking for TB as far as I'm aware.
