Fellow VJ, How do we go about expediting an earlier interview with US Embassy here in Manila.

Thanks!

In General: A Expedite would require a Medical Emergency/Hardship. You would have to be more clear if this pertains to your Case.

Your Timeline indicates NVC has your Petition. Have they Issued a MNLXXXXXXXX number yet to you. After NVC recieves your Petition the wait is about 3 to 5 weeks for this and transfered to the Philippines.

Once you have your MNL # you can pay fee's schedule a Medical and Interview.

Unless you have a good reason for an expedite then just wait it out. I don't think it will be much faster but I'm not sure of your reason for a Request for Expedite.

Have you an MNL# Yet? Have you taken your Medical Exams Yet ? Questions???? Then maybe others will add.

These are my basic questions for your post. (So you can get better answers) Good Luck ! Tim

I have the MNL Case and underwent medical exams as well..got firsthand info that November interview appointment are fully booked and may end up in December already..just worried that the medical exams is valid for 3 months only and will expire in January 2012

I don't think you can really do anything else to expedite your pending interview process with the Embassy, especially if you do not have a medical urgency. Although, what you can do at this point assuming your file has been completed from NVC is to find out what date the consulate received your file. After a week, you may call the IV Inquiry line at (632) 301-2000, extension 5184 or 5185 during normal business hours, to find out your status. If all is well, then call the Appointment Services at (214) 571-1600 and set up your own Interview Date or at least make a profile for the applicant. They say you can also do your own interview date appt. "ONLINE." You will save 20 days with this process if you wait for the Embassy to mail the acknowledgment receipt to schedule an interview appt. it will take another 10-14days snail mail from PI. For more info. check this link: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023/contact-us.html The applicant also can do their medical in advance prior to the interview date, using the email/letters from NVC that the case has been completed. Good luck!
