Hi, i read all the blogs that stated here.. Im not so satisfied with some of the answers der.. I am a K1 holder and i am now processing on my documents for the AOS.. my question is? is it okey to file the AOS even if i dont have my SSN no. yet? i already go to the SSN office and they told me to wait within 4 weeks to get my SSN no.. And with regards to I-94.. Is it okey to file the AOS after 90days?but i already got married before the 90days comes. please help me with this matter.. i appreciate your help alot.

As long as you got married within the 90 day period, you are fine. It's best to submit the AOS paperwork as soon as possible and get it out of the way, but it does not matter if you didn't file the papers within 90 days. That requirement is only about marriage - not filing AOS.

You also don't need the SSN for AOS.

05/12/2011 - Day 70 - EAD Arrived, issued on 05/02

06/14/2011 - Day 103 - E-mail notice: Interview letter mailed, interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2011 - Day 139 - Interview at Federal Plaza USCIS location

07/22/2011 - Day 141 - E-mail approval notice received (Card production)

07/27/2011 - Day 146 - 2nd Card Production Email received

07/28/2011 - Day 147 - Post-Decision Activity Email from USCIS

08/04/2011 - Day 154 - Husband returns home from abroad; Welcome Letter and GC have arrived in the mail

("Resident since" date on the GC is 07/20/2011

It's ok to file aos even u don't have Ssn no. Yet...

N-400:
May 9, 2017: N-400 packet was sent
May 15, 2017: NOA1 
June 05, 2017: Biometric Done
June 19, 2017: Case is in Line for an Interview
June 25, 2018: USCIS Scheduled an Interview
Aug. 02, 2018: Interview Date- APPROVED!
Aug. 09, 2018: Oath Ceremony

@OP...You are allowed to get a SS number up until two weeks before your I-94 expires. After that, I believe you have to wait for your conditional green card to arrive. If you tried to apply for a SS card more than two weeks before your I-94 expired and you were turned down, you should go back and talk to a supervisor, or go to another office.

Hi,

You don't need a SSN to file for AOS.

The main requirement for a K1 holder is to get married within the 90 days before the I-94 date of expiration. According to your post you did, so you can file after the 90 days, always better to file sooner than later.

(Day 125) 02/03/12: Oath Ceremony. Done!

End of our Journey:

Daughter and I became U.S. Citizens on 02/03/2012.

(Day 1) 02/09/12: Applied for U.S. Passport & Passport card.

(Day 16) 02/24/12: Passport received.

(Day 19) 02/27/12: Passport Card received.

(Day 24) 03/03/12: Got CoN back.

N-600 for Daughter

(Day 1) 02/04/12: Application sent.

(Day 117) 05/30/12: Picked up Certificate of Citizenship at USCIS local office Chicago.
