July 10, 2011 - Touch

October 4, 2011 - NOA2

October 18, 2011 - NVC Receive

October 20, 2011 - NVC Depart

October 24, 2011 - Consulate Receive

November 28, 2011 - Appointment scheduled.

November 28, 2011 - Visa Approved!

December 2, 2011 - Visa in hand,

December 22, 2011 - Fly to Russia.

January 5, 2012 - Return together - POE - IAD (Dulles)

February 25. 2012 - Marriage

this week going for the 20 days oh waiting to be assigned case number, :unsure: gotta keep on waiting, Who else who has been approved in Sept for CR-1 cases only still playing the waiting game?

you should call nvc and ask when they receive your case..then after that count 1 month from the day they receive your case..cuz they give case no.1 month after they receive your case from uscis..good luck..

Unfortunately, since the beginning of this summer, NVC has been going through a backlog where it's been taking 3-4 weeks (or more) from NOA2 to case number assigned. All you can really do is continue to call NVC every single day and ask if a case number has been assigned.

got mine today. I had to call and confirm... Be patient, I was on hold for seven minutes. Gentleman was very polite, and told me congrats the NVC has issued the case number. Few days later, on it's way to consulate.

our petition is been approved sept.6 and until now were still waiting for the case number,can anybody help us whats going on with our petition? please help!

keep on calling.. they process stuff very fast, but delay the notifications, simply due to volume.

Should get an email looking something like this

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The

NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in

your letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned US

Embassy/Consulate General for further processing.

The NVC completed its processing of the visa petition ISLXXXXXXXXXXX, and

forwarded the petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN. As this petition is no longer located at the NVC

you must resubmit your inquiry or request, and all future correspondence
