Hi everybody, i have couple questions about N-400! i became Permanent Resident April of 2007 and i was wondering when i can be able to file for my N-400? i am elgible for 5 years window i was married to the US Citizen and we got divorced, what document do i need to prepare when i submit my application? thanks everyone.

Timeline

You can apply 90 days before the 5 year anniversary of your "resident since" date on your greencard, so sometime in January 2012. Do not apply early!

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Since you will be applying on the 5-year residency rule you need to submit:

1. Filled out N400 form

2. Photocopy of front and back of greencard

3. Two passport style photographs

4. Check for the filing fee

I would suggest to read the N400 instructions to be sure that you do not miss anything. The instructions can be found at:
