I have my fathers (my co sponsors) IRS official transcript. He is self employed. Which number do I put for his income? Sch C profit or loss? or Schedule EIC SE income?

That line also counts my mothers income (they were married in 2010, now divorced) So I am not sure which to put for just his (he is the only joint sponsor) I am thinking it is Schedule C, profit or loss?

OR can mom's income cover what's needed for the sponsorship? That may be simpler if her income is a salary/wage income as she would be evaluated on current earnings rather than deconstructing the 2010 return.
