Hello!

...figure some of you might have some advice since im sure youve been to nica a few times... :)

im planning on going back in February of next year - my question is: when do you think is the best time to purchase the flight - when would i get the best deal? should i wait till after the holidays? or will that be too close to time of flight so the price would go up?

ive been looking quite a bit and have seen them as high as 900 and as low as 600...should i just buy it the next time i see one around 600? whats your experience? when is the best time to buy and whats the lowest youve seen? Any advice or opinions are appreciated!

Thanks so much!! :)

Well it really depends. Where are you flying out from? While I was still in Nicaragua, my husband used to buy his tickets about 2 months in advance and always got pretty good deals ($350-$450 Chicago-Managua). Now it seems that tickets have all gone up in general. We booked our flights for Christmas and paid $700+ a piece but a few days later they went down to $500+ and then back to $600+. This is flying out from Chicago. If you're planning to go in February, I would think they would go down right after the holidays....but that's just my guess! Good luck!
