So VT has McDonald's in the smaller towns but not the big cities?

well, yes.

So it is like this. The biggest city is Burlington, 42,000 people. It HAD a McDonalds but it closed because of lack of interest. So did the "Hooters" but that is more understandable. Lack of hooters.

Montpelier, the capital, does not even make it into the top 10 of "big cities" in Vermont with 8000 people. No McDonalds.

A couple of the Burlington "suburbs" like ours, have A McDonalds. 1. It happens to be walking distance from our house. The "suburbs" are almost as big as Burlington, population wise.

There are 600,000 in the state, 210,000 in this county between 5 "major" cities and a few small ones. There is also a McDonalds in St. Albans, Enosburg Falls, Rutland and 2 in Barre, VT. Barre is the world's largest and deepest sh*thole, but still has no crime despite 45% of the population being crack/oxycontin addicts. Though I WOULD lock my doors if I lived there. It is also the only place I have ever seen a street prostitute or a strip club in Vermont. The strip club closed now. Lack of Hooters.

We also have no clusters of fast food restaraunts and not nearly the variety of elsewhere. There is a KFC in Burlngton. A Wendys in Essex Jct. There may be a Taco Bell there also, not sure. But they are scattered here and there.

Lots of sandwich shops.

I always picture Vermont chicks dressed in Eddie Bauer and LL Bean type clothes with those frumpy sweaters, thick glasses and hiking boots. They don't exactly come to mind as a hot RUB chick in a mini skirt and heels with a killer make up job and hair doo along with that "do me hard look".

I'l admit our bread sucks, and we do use too many sauces and blair out the real taste of the food, but Iv'e had pizza and spaghetti in Italy and it sucked, the food in the UK sucked, and German food is bland.
