This K-1 process is A LOT faster than I was expecting!

Wow!!! I got my NOA1 on May 4. I sent it on April 30. I could schedule the interview for next week and she could have her Visa in hand before Oct 30, if we wanted to. We are prolonging it a few weeks. The important thing for folks to recognize is we went through VSC and she could have her visa in less than 6 months of sending the I-129F. That is a lot faster than I was expecting. I was expecting 9-10 months total from day 1 to the day visa is in her hand, and you wouldn't haver heard a peep out of me had it taken 12 months, as I envisioned there could be hiccups. But, less than 6 months? That's pretty awesome.

Your message is confusing, si man. The NOA1 has nothing to do with approval; it's only a notice of receipt. Your timeline says that your NOA2 was received on August 15. Why have you said what you say in this thread, and why now?

Simply stating that if I wanted to schedule the Interview for next week I could, which would mean the process from start to finish was less than 6 months. I have been waiting for a month for the interview date to be set. They have just changed the process on the way they scheudle interviews in Colombia and informed us today that we can go ahead and schedule our interview. The interview could be as early as Monday if we wanted. We are going to schedule it for a few weeks from now though.

Simply stating how thrilled I am that the process was so fast. I guess I could have updated my timeline to show the NVC, packet 3/4 etc.... which means very little now as the process is changed for Colombia. Now they email you the packet 3 and 4, tell you to set up your interview and bring the stuff in packet 3 and 4 to the interview.

An extra explanatory sentence between your original first & second sentences could have cleared this up, si man. As it stands, people may be confused and not know how or why to congratulate you.
