I have the same case but this never was my problem. All the papers that u will submit (including ur BC) is about you. If theres nothing wrong with your birth cert., and ur using ur moms name as middle name and ur dads name as last name. Ur good to go. U will just have problem if ur other supporting docs like ID's, passport, etc.... is different from your birth cert. :)

Not a problem in either case, but if you are the US citizen the BC is used only to identify you as a citizen. No one is concerned with the marital status of your parents.

If you are the US citizen you can submit a copy of your passport as proof of citizenship instead.

But isn't that going to be a problem People, coz in my BC, they declared they were married when in fact they never were?? All this time though, I've been using my father's last name, and my mom, uses her last name of course, not my father's? In other words, my parents lied by saying they were married just so I can have my father's last name..Wont it be a problem?

NO

It is not a problem. NO ONE cares about the marital status of your parents. There is no question on any form that ever asks the marital status of your parents. In some cases you are asked for their names, etc. but NEVER their marital status.

You will have to find something else to worry about.

I have never known or heard of the parents martial status being a problem for a beneficiary. As long as there are no misspelling issues with the name on your Bc, your parents status will not be an issue.
