It said on here 'no question too small' nor annoying (hopefully!). So here it is, we have had our NOA2 but the NVC have not yet received our file. I love to be repared but have been trying to find which forms next we ll have and its a little confusing. Also I keep seeing inference that my fiance, the petitioner, needs to have passort sized photos of my and my police certificate etc and orginal marriage docus, but other sites say I hand in some of those things myself (to the London Embassy...the police certificate was one mentioned).....so I would love information from those in the know about what we can do to prepare next. Should we be calling the NVCmail hook u which would expedite things such as payment of further fees? Now that we're ina position of hving a little more control we want to do just that!! All answers gratefully received, especially pointers form form downloads etc, the ones I downloaded appear to be already for a spouse. What comes next?!

p.s we had aproval on the 7th but the NVC show no trace yet and no packet received either....is this normal??

Thanks guys :)

Hi there, I would think it will be a little longer before you hear when your file is at the NVC. We were approved on the 24th sept and have only just found out it is at the NVC. Here are a couple of links that you can read to get an idea of what is required for the next step. You also need to arrange your medical once you have your case number, which will be issued once at the NVC. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow. You only return the applications forms to the US embassy, all the financial support evidence, police certificate etc, goes with you on the day.

Good luck

Don't follow what anybody says except people going through LONDON to know what happens at the embassy stage. Each embassy has different procedures. You will have to wait until London notifies the intending immigrant that they have received the approved petition from the NVC and they are ready to receive the visa application. You can start learning the process here: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html and start gathering the documents needed for the interview listed here: http://london.usembassy.gov/interview_documents.html

Thanks so much for the links and the replies :) Sounds simple enough. My biggest concern was wondering who exactly was meant to send what...for example does he need to send passport photos of us in, or is that our job. The embassy link helped massively :)

Who is "he"? The Brit or the USC?

The embassy part is all about the Brit (aka beneficiary.) It is the beneficiary's forms, documents, and passport photos (not mailed in--read the London instructions). No "us". The US citizen only supplies the I134 Affidavit of Support with proof of income.
