hey guys..are haiti cases really expidited? or do you have to call them to get it expidited....I'm planning my wedding and don't want to get stuck when the date gets here...and we're still waiting on him to get here....

:ot:

It's nerve racking planning a wedding and going through immigration...urgghhhhh....

:ot2:

What are your best opinions on planning a wedding in the dark, so to speak, because you're not confident about your wedding date...for example...I've viewed several if not most timelines from haiti, and have set my wedding date for 03-18-12....I've changed it twice already and I really don't want to change it again(the 18th is special for us)..I think it's reasonable from my date of sending in my application etc(sent it on 9/28 I believe)...but what do you fellow vjers think...Thank you guys so much and you guys have been a big help!!!

See if a mod can move this out of the spousal visa area since its a K-1 petition.

Never set a date or book anything until the visa is in the hand.

Look after smaller things for the wedding ie colours, place settings etc.

Hey Mani0118,

6 months seems reasonable however you can never tell where something can set you back. I was stressing like you when I first started but then I got some good advice and so I will be married at city hall onnce my fiance arrives and have a grand ole Haitian wedding summer of 2012. That was the least stressful way to do it for me.

hey all. i am new around here (just recently filed my i-129f and received NOA 1 yesterday!). When you say all haitian applications are be expedited, what do you mean? i know what expedited means, but where do you get that information? which step in this process is expedited?

also, i am an american citizen, but i live in haiti 9 months out of the year, teaching at a school in port-de-paix. can someone in the United States call USCIS for me so i don't have to call internationally or do I have to call?

You have to call them.

The expedite was when they big disaster happened in Haiti. All petitions there were expedited due to the health risks etc going on after the disaster.
