time for interview date

on average, after case completed at NVC how long does it take for an interview date to be assigned? Looking at some people's timelines seems like after an average of 2 weeks they receive the interview date. Operator at nvc told me dates are assigned on the 2nd week of every month but that doesn't seem right to me! anyone have info about this?

In my instance, it was 1 week from case complete to assignment of interview date.

September 2007: Met online via social networking site (MySpace); began exchanging messages.
March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

It also took me one week from case completion until i received the interview appointment letter. The NVC operators tell you that they only schedule interviews the 2nd week of each month but that is a lie, if you look at people's timelines the NVC schedules interviews all month long. My interview was scheduled on September 30th.

2/13/2010: Met in Korea

1/21/2011: Married in Tacloban City

USCIS (135 days)

2/23/2011: sent I-130 and I-129f

3/6/2011: received NOA1 for I-130

3/16/2011: received NOA1 for I-129f

6/17/2011: received NOA2 for I-130 and I-129f

NVC(74 Days)

7/18/2011: NVC received and case number assigned

7/20/2011: NVC Administratively closes I-129f

7/30/2011: emailed DS-3032

8/24/2011: FINALLY received AOS Fee and PAID also sent DS-3032 for the third time (PAID on 8/25)

8/26/2011: Received DS-3032 Acceptance email

9/01/2011: Received IV fee and paid (PAID on 9/02)

9/07/2011: Delivered I-864 and DS-230 to NVC (mailed on 9/06/2011)

9/12/2011: RFE For using expired DS-230 found here on VJ

9/19/2011: Sent to NVC new DS-230 and Japanese police clearance

9/23/2011: Case Complete

Manila Consulate(39 days)

9/30/2011: Manila Consulate receives Case and Schedules interview

11/02/2011: Medical at St. Lukes Medical Extension Center 11/03/2011-Medical Finished and everything is GOOD!

11/08/2011: Interview scheduled at Manila Consulate-Approved

11/15/2011: Visa in Hand

11/19/2011: POE Atlanta

im still waiting, my case was completed on september 5th but i haven't received the case complete email with the interview date. I guess it also depends on which embassy in our case its Islamabad. Im hoping for an interview date in late november

Wow, that's a long time? Can you call your US Embassy/Consulate in Islamabad? Or write to them? http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/ask_the_consul.html

05-06/11: Sent & Received Congressman's letter & advice.

06/23/11: Found and joined... VisaJourney.com!

06/27/11: Filing “Form I-130 IR-1” and Expediting it with Humanitarian cover letter.

07/08/11: Mailed I-130 to P.O. Box 804525, Attn. EXPEDITE I-130 SPOUSE, Chicago, IL.

07/18/11: Received Hardcopy Form I-797C or NOA1 in mail, receipt date 7/13/11 and priority date 7/12/11.

08/08/11: Called USCIS 800 number to check on status.

08/23/11: Request for Expedite Approved. Received NOA2 dated 08/23/11.

09/09/11: Called NVC they got my file from USCIS.

09/13/11: Received NVC Case# & IIN# (via email) & emailed DS-3032 from PI to NVC.

09/14/11: AOS Fee Paid Online (status PAID on 9/15 also at this time IV Fee Bill Generated)

09/16/11: IV Fee Bill Paid Online (status PAID on 9/19 and printed Barcoded Coversheets)

09/20/11: Express mail both the I-864s AOS and IV DS-230 (arrived 9/21 NVC)

09/27/11: Case completed file shipped to USEManila; arrived 10/3

10/13/11: Medical passed/completed today but still NO interview date yet?

10/16/11: Called USEManila file ready! Called Appt. Services set up Interview Date for 11/9/11.

11/09/11: Interview. But had to comply with 221g, re-verification forms CENOMAR/NBI.

12/02/11: Visa approved but delivered 12/7/11.

12/12/11: POE – Detroit.

It took one week that's great! How did you receive your interview appointment letter via email or what?

My case completed on 9/27/11 and the USEmbassy Manila has accepted my case for expeditious processing. Also, I tracked my file which arrived via DHL Express on 10/3/11 but until now I still haven't heard anything from the USEManila?! I emailed them IVMNLAppointments@state.gov on 10/4/11 but I just got the auto-reply. On 10/10/11, I called the Appointment Services at (214) 571-1600 to find out the status of my file and seems like I just spoke to a Call Center Agent and she just made a profile for my wife's application!? http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023/contact-us.html But until now still no reply? Today 10/13/11, called the same number to find out more about my file and the agent said, “She thinks they (the USEManila) have my file already and if I'm ready to set up for an interview appointment – she can input it already?? Huh?? I just wanted to know if they're working on my case still or what? So, I asked her when is the next available interview date and she told me 3rd week of October, which is next week?? What to do? Do I wait to hear from USEManila or just make this next interview appointment?
