Hi everybody once again! I am almost done assembling my marriage case and going nuts a little bit  . I still have a few unanswered questions. I have already posted my situation before, but for those who unaware of it: I have 130 days overstay from B2, I got married to US citizen, currently in USA, applying for AOS.

My question: should I write an explanatory letter about my overstay or something and attach it to the case? Or will it be an unessential info?

Many thanks to all reading!

Hope for help!

No you wont need to do that. I am an overstay and, even though my journey is not over, I was asked why I came to the US and whether I had left but nothing else pertaining to my overstay (13 years).

By the time this thing is over it will be closer to 14! Other than asking about why I came, I didnt get one question about my time, other than did I present myself as a citizen. You will be fine. This forum is the best in terms of laymans advise that borders on the professional.

Do not write anything. Do not disclose information unless you are specifically required to do so or asked by a USCIS officer. If you are asked about your overstay, answer truthfully. USCIS will be aware that you overstayed. If it is an issue, they will ask you. Don't volunteer information as it might come back to bite you in the #######.
